Built by someone who wanted to understand what AI can actually do.

I built Answrd on my own. Backend, app, AI, website, all of it, while travelling through Australia, Bali, the Philippines, Thailand, and Greece.

I was not travelling for a break. I left a normal job because I wanted to actually learn how to build AI products, not read about them from the outside. So most evenings, wherever I was, I sat down and worked. Some nights that meant real progress. Most nights it meant staring at something broken and slowly working out why.

The idea came from talking to service business owners. Ask enough of them about their week and you hear the same thing: the phone rings while they are on a job, they cannot answer it, and that customer just calls the next name on Google. Most of them had no idea how often it happened or what it was actually costing them. A missed call at £150 a job adds up fast, and it adds up silently, because nobody tracks the jobs they never got a chance to quote for.

What I actually built

I built every part of it myself: the website, the client app, the backend, the AI conversation system, the voice AI layer. Slower than building with a team, but it means I understand every part of what I built, which matters when something breaks at 11pm and a client is relying on it.

Why Answrd is different

Three things make Answrd different from a self-serve AI tool you configure yourself and hope for the best. It learns from every call, so a question it could not answer once, it can answer forever after. It shows you what it actually recovered, real numbers, not a vague promise that it is helping.
